Plugin Install

  • Installing the plugin is similar to installing any other WordPress plugin. Start by
    logging into your WordPress site and navigating to Plugins > Add New.
  • On the Install Plugins page, click on the Upload option in the top navigation, and
    then select Browse.
  • Locate the downloaded plugin zip file on your computer and upload it. Remember to
    unzip the file first to access the plugin zip file.
  • Click on Install Now.
  • Wait for WordPress to finish uploading the file. Once done, click on Activate
    Plugin.
  • You should now see a message at the top of the window indicating that the plugin
    has been activated.

About Plugin

1. FAQ Generated Form

Change the default value for all fields.

Add Title :- This is the title input field where you provide a title for the FAQ guide you are creating. The title should be clear and relevant to the content you’re creating.

Publish :- The Publish section is where you manage the publication status of the FAQ guide. This is where you can save a draft, preview your work, and finally publish the guide to make it live.

Topic Name :- This field allows you to specify the title or topic you are addressing.

Question :- This field is where you input the specific question or query that the answer will address. This helps in framing the content in a question-and-answer format.

Answer :- In this field, provide a detailed response to the question entered above. Use this area to explain the concept thoroughly, providing a clear and informative answer.

Add Question Button :Add Question button allows the user to create a new question within the current topic. This is useful when you want to expand your content by adding more questions under a single topic or section.

Delete Button :– The red X icon represents the Delete option for a particular question or topic. Clicking on it will remove the corresponding entry permanently.

Expand/Collapse Arrow :– The arrow icon is used to expand or collapse the content for a specific question or topic. When clicked, it reveals the details or hides them to reduce visual clutter.

Add Topic Button :– The Add Topic button allows the user to create a new topic within the list. This is useful for adding entirely new subjects or sections that contain their own set of questions and answers.

2. Admin Interface: Generated FAQ Backend Listing

The plugin provides a comprehensive admin interface where users can view a list of all generated FAQ’s.

Add New FAQ Guide :- Clicking this button allows you to create a new FAQ guide. This opens a form where you can input the title, questions, and topics for the new guide.

List of FAQ Guides :- This section shows a list of all the FAQ guides you have created. For each guide, details such as the title, shortcode, and date are displayed.

Bulk Actions :- This dropdown allows you to perform bulk actions (like delete or move to trash) on multiple FAQ guides. You can select one or more guides using the checkboxes next to the titles and then choose an action.

Shortcode Copy Button :- This small copy button next to the shortcode allows you to quickly copy the generated shortcode for a particular FAQ guide. You can paste the shortcode into a page or post to display the FAQ content.

Description:

  • Replace “32” with the ID of the FAQ Guide Post you want to display.
  • This shortcode will render the FAQ’s lists associated with the specified ID directly in the content.

3. FAQ Guide General Settings

Change the default value for all fields.

Request a password to access the FAQ :- This field allows you to restrict access to the FAQ by setting a password. Visitors will need to enter the password to view the FAQ.

Checkbox – Show Password :- You can check this box to display the password in plain text as you type it.

Show logo at FAQ Guide Page :- This checkbox allows you to display a logo on the FAQ Guide Page.

Select Logo :- This option allows you to upload or select an image to use as the logo for your FAQ Guide Page.

Allow indexing of the FAQ by search engines :- Check this box to allow search engines (like Google) to index your FAQ guide, making it discoverable through search engine results.

FAQ Background Color :- This option allows you to customize the background color of the FAQ section.

FAQ Title Color :- Select the color for the FAQ title text.

Font Color of the Questions :- Customize the color of the FAQ questions (heading titles).

Background Color of the FAQ’s Questions :- Choose the background color for the questions.

Background Color of FAQ’s Answers :- This setting allows you to set a background color specifically for the answers in the FAQ.

FAQ Layout :- This dropdown allows you to choose how the FAQ content is displayed. The options may include Grid (as shown) or other layouts like list or accordion.

Enable Topic Load More :- If this checkbox is enabled, visitors can load additional FAQ topics by clicking a Load More button instead of seeing all topics at once.

Display Load More button after nth topic :- This option controls after how many topics the Load More button appears.

Load More button label :- Customize the text displayed on the Load More button.

Load Less button label :- Customize the text for the button that appears after loading more topics

Save Changes :- This button saves all changes made on the settings page.

4. Frontend View of the Shortcode

Search FAQs Box :- Visitors can type a keyword or phrase to filter and find specific FAQs. For example, typing “inflation” would show FAQs related to inflation and India’s GDP.

Plus Icon (+) Next to FAQ Question :- When users click the “+” icon, the answer to that particular question will expand below the question. It provides an interactive accordion-like functionality for each question.

Load More FAQs” Button :- This button appears at the bottom of the page and when clicked, it dynamically loads additional FAQ topics if there are more available beyond the initially displayed topics.

Troubleshooting

  • Plugin Not Appearing: Ensure that the plugin is correctly installed and activated. Check for compatibility issues with your platform.
